Bob has founded or co-founded four venture-backed companies, including MoonTango, a personal care products shopping experience dedicated to the needs of women, iMedExchange, a value-add online social network exclusively for physicians. Bob is an active participant and organizer in the Seattle startup community and serves as a mentor to many accelerator programs, including Techstars, Alchemist, 9Mile Labs and others. Bob is founder and Chief Instigator of the popular startup founder and investor network, Startup Haven. Startup Haven currently operates in Seattle, Portland, San Diego, San Franciscco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. Bob was a founding board member of Seattle Women in Tech and 6-Hour Startup and served as a formal advisor to Startup Weekend before it was acquired by Techstars. Bob regularly advises a host of Northwest tech startup companies and entrepreneurs and serves as a mentor to aspiring high school entrepreneurs through TiE’s youth entrepreneurship program (TyE). Before embarking on his tech startup career, Bob blended his unique business and technology acumen as a successful enterprise technology consultant in both private and public sectors. In addition to more than 25 years of software engineering and business experience, Bob holds Bachelors degrees in philosophy and humanities from California State University and a Masters degree in Philosophy from University of Washington.
