You must be from one of the countries allowed to apply to qualify for the DV Program.
You must be at least 18 years old to apply as the head of household. This
means that if you are over 18 years old but have younger children, then you
can apply together.
You must have completed high school and have a high school diploma.
Or, you must have at least 2 years of work experience in the last 5 years
in an occupation which falls into Job Zone 4 or 5 as per the US Department
of Labor (DOL) requirements.
You must go through the medical examinations prior to the visa application.
Documents:
Original passport.
Copy of the principal applicant’s selection letter for the diversity visa
lottery from DOS (You can get it on the DV lottery website when you get
selected).
Form DS-260 confirmation letter.
Medical examination form (Form i-693).
Two photographs per person of you and your family if you are applying
together.
Birth certificates of you and your family (including copies).
Court, prison, and police records.
Marriage certificates or proof of a divorce (if applicable).
Military records if you were in the military.
Copy of the receipt from DOS for the diversity visa lottery processing fee.
Copy of passport page with nonimmigrant visa (if applicable).
Any additional documents that the US Embassy might require from you.
