\n The Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP), which has received approval for this purpose from the Department of Justice and other government stakeholders, provides a route for non-EEA nationals to obtain immigration permission to Ireland. In order to promote inward investment for the development of businesses and employment opportunities in the State, the Irish government introduced the IIP in 2012. The program’s aim is to persuade business professionals and investors from outside the European Economic Area to take advantage of the opportunities to invest and locate their businesses in Ireland and to obtain a stable residency status there. High net worth individuals with a personal wealth of at least \u20ac2 million are required to apply to the IIP. IIP applicants must commit a minimum of \u20ac1 million for a minimum of three years. The money used for an investment must come from the applicant’s personal funds; it cannot be financed by a loan or other similar facility.The IIP offers four investment options for potential investors.Enterprise Investment: A minimum investment of \u20ac1 million made over a minimum of three years in an Irish company.Investment Fund: A minimum of \u20ac1 million must be parked for at least three years in an authorized investment fund.
