He was elected as a member of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) and served as Minister of Agriculture of the State of Israel from 2013 to 2015. Yair also served as the Chairman of Board of N.T.A. \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Metropolitan Mass Transit System. He previously served as the Chairman of Israel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s National Roads Company and as the Chairman of Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. He also served as the Chairman of Shamir Optical Industry Ltd., Chairman of EL AL, and as the CEO and Chairman of VCON Telecommunications Ltd. Yair was a board member of DSP Group Corporation from 2005 to 2013.
