Michele Anthony is Executive Vice President of Universal Music Group. Among her responsibilities, Anthony oversees the U.S. Commercial Services Division that includes sales, live events, label merchandising, college marketing and fan and consumer engagement. In that role, she works with the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s U.S. labels to maximize commercial and strategic opportunities to establish new revenue streams, form alliances with third parties, and create a variety of special projects. Additionally, Anthony is responsible for UMG\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s global brand partnerships, the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Canadian operations and Universal Music Enterprises, the U.S. catalog division. She also oversees development of UMG\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s film, television and theatrical projects alongside Universal Music Publishing Group Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson. Anthony has an unparalleled depth of experience on both the label and artist sides of the industry. She most recently founded 7H Entertainment, a consulting and management firm whose clients included Pearl Jam, Black Sabbath & Ozzy Osbourne, Prince, Bj\u00c3\u00b6rk and Soundgarden. Prior to forming 7H in 2006, Anthony was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Sony Music Label Group U.S. where she oversaw the day-to-day management and operations of the company\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s labels. Before Sony Music, Anthony was a partner in the entertainment law firm of Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Phillips, where her clients included Guns N\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Roses, Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden, Rick Rubin, Sub Pop Records, The Sugarcubes and The Pixies. Anthony also chairs the Global Poverty Project (GPP) \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Global Citizen Tickets Initiative, a campaign whereby major artists donate concert tickets that are earned when users take specified actions to end global poverty. She also is an advisor for GPP\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Annual Central Park Global Citizen Festival.<\/p>\n
