Gerald has been an entrepreneur since 1998 when he founded at the age of 25 the first European provider for b2b reverse online auction and sourcing events, Portum. With a trading volume of more than 12 Bn. USD and offices throughout Europe and the US Portum became one of Europe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leading providers for internet-based sourcing and supplier management solutions. The company was sold in 2006 to CapGemini \/ IBX. In 2006 he cofounded with Gustavo Garcia Brusilovsky BuyVIP, a European leading private sales club offering luxury brands at reduced prices in time limited campaigns. When the company was sold in 2010 to Amazon it had more than 8 Mio. members, 350 employees and revenues in excess of 150 Mio. USD. In 2011 he founded Pippa&Jean a social selling community with the vision to support 100.000 women to start their own business. Since 2007, Gerald also has been an active investor in multiple companies via OmnisMundi, an incubator which he created jointly with Alain Falys.
