Rande Gerber is the founder and chairman of Casamigos Tequila. In 2013, Rande partnered with longtime friends George Clooney and Mike Meldman to launch Casamigos. Under Mr. Gerber\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leadership, Casamigos quickly became the fastest growing ultra-premium tequila in the country. Four years later, in 2017, Casamigos was acquired by Diageo for $1 billion. Casamigos has garnered the highest accolades from the spirit industry\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most well-respected authority figures. Rande continues to steer the company with record breaking growth. Early in his career, Rande created the influential nightlife entities Midnight Oil Company and Gerber Group, establishing himself as a preeminent hospitality entrepreneur with an uncanny ability to know his consumer. He created cool and classic properties with an international and high profile clientele. He first made his mark in 1989 by opening The Whiskey Bar at Ian Schrager\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Paramount Hotel in NYC. Rande elevated the concept of the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153hotel bar\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by creating The Whiskey Bar\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s upscale lounges, including The Whiskey, Whiskey Blue, Whiskey Park, The Penthouse, Midnight Rose, Stone Rose and SkyBar Los Angeles. Rande opened The Whiskey on Ocean Drive in South Beach in 1991 and is credited with being the original pioneer of South Beach nightlife. Rande went on to open 40 lounges, bars, restaurants and clubs in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago, Madrid and Mexico City. His extraordinary success made his companies the preferred partner for Starwood Hotels, W Hotels, Sofitel, Strategic Hotel Group and Sol Melia.
