Mr. David Freelove is a Co-Founder of Rock Maple Ventures and serves as its Managing Director. Mr. Freelove also serves as the Founder, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at Rock Maple Services, LLC and Wilmington Funds – Wilmington Rock Maple Alternatives Fund. Mr. Freelove founded the Rock Maple Services in 2002. Mr. Freelove leads the entire portfolio through successful exit plans by leveraging an extensive network in the investment banking community. At the firm, he is active in all aspects of the firm’s activities, from deal sourcing to helping portfolio companies execute their business plans. Previously, Mr. Freelove was at Rubicon Associates as a General Partner. Prior to that, he was a Director of Capital Markets at Lazard Freres & Co. LLC. Mr. Freelove\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s practice areas included proprietary trading, institutional sales of structure products, capital raising, and the creation of joint ventures. During his tenure at the firm, he traveled extensively to Japan and was actively engaged in international transactions with Japanese financial institutions and corporations. Mr. Freelove also opened an office in Chicago to form and oversee the institutional options business for the firm. During this period, he was a member of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. Prior thereto, Mr. Freelove was a Senior Vice President at Kidder, Peabody & Co. from 1989 to 1993. In his role as a Proprietary Equity Trader, Mr. Freelove executed the largest block trade on the New York Stock Exchange to date totaling $12 billion. He was an Advisor to ThinkQuest and has served on several private Boards of Directors. Mr. Freelove received an A.B. in English from Stanford University<\/p>\n
