Megan Quinn is the Chief Operating Officer of Niantic where she oversees all aspects of business operations and international development, including Marketing, Communications, Business Development, Corporate Development, Legal, Sales, and Operations. She is also currently a member of the Board of Directors for Handshake, Niantic, Pendo, and Rover (ROVR) and an active startup investor and advisor. Megan was previously a General Partner at Spark Capital where she focused on growth stage investments, including Glossier, Handshake, Niantic, Outreach, Pendo, Rover (ROVR), InVision and Snapchat (SNAP). Prior to Spark Capital, Megan was a Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers where she invested in a number of companies including Slack (WORK), Stripe, and Uber (UBER). Prior to investing, Megan served as the Head of Product at Square, where she led strategy and development of the company’s products across merchant and consumer audiences. Earlier in her career, Megan spent seven years at Google and was part of the early Niantic team incubated within Google, alongside the company’s founder and CEO John Hanke. In addition to working at Niantic during her time at Google, she held various leadership positions in Marketing, Business Development and Product Management, and spearheaded the development of some of the company’s most successful products, including Google Maps. In 2017 Megan co-founded and served on the board of All Raise, a nonprofit focused on accelerating the success of female funders and founders in tech. She also served as a member of the Technology Advisory Council for HSBC for four years until 2020 where she advised the bank's Board of Directors on all aspects of technology adoption. Megan has been included in Fortune's "40 Under 40" (2021), Forbes' "Midas Brink" (2017), Vanity Fair's "New Establishment" (2017) and Fast Company's "World's Most Creative People" (2013). Megan holds a degree in political science and history from Stanford University and lives in San Francisco with her husband and daughter.
