Previously he was an executive at WebVisible, a locally-focused online media & technology venture. He also co-founded Truverse, a software venture in dynamic personalization of electronic communications. While at MessageRite (acquired by Frontbridge Technologies), Carey was Vice President of Sales & Marketing, leading the online communication storage and security start-up, which was eventually absorbed by Microsoft in 2005. In addition, Carey has experience as a business and communications instructor, sales manager, and consultant to startups in business planning and fundraising. Carey is an MBA graduate of the Anderson School of Business at UCLA. In addition, he holds a Certificate of E-Commerce from Loyola University Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University.
