Terrence Rohan is an early-stage investor and the Managing Director of Otherwise, a Founder-Angel Fund that discretely empowers a network of today’s top founders to make multi-stage venture investments. In addition to running the firm’s operations, Terrence also invests from the Fund. Terrence has supported some of the top founders of the last decade, typically first investing at the earliest stages. He invested in the seed and growth rounds of Figma, where he also served as the company’s first Board Director, as well as in Notion (seed), Hugging Face (seed), Vanta (seed, growth), Robinhood (seed, growth), Patreon (venture, growth), Front (seed, growth), Pachama (seed), Justworks (seed, fmr Board Observer), Circle (seed), Browser Company (venture), to name a few. Terrence began his venture career in 2010 at Index Ventures, where he co-created and led the firm’s first Seed Fund. He later incubated an Angel Fund for Index, serving as General Partner and Co-Founder. In 2017 he launched Otherwise, a novel Founder-Angel Fund inspired by the one he created for Index. Before becoming an investor, Terrence held various roles in product marketing and development at Google and YouTube from 2005-2010. He holds an MS in Management from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, an MS in Philosophy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University.
