Noel has a programming background, having developed websites for a few years at the start of the dot com boom. Noel co-founded a web development business called IDM in 1997 with Robin Tombs which they sold for £7m. Using some of the funds from this sale, Noel decided it was time to entertain the world by making games and co-founded Gamesys with Robin in 2001. Since founding Gamesys, Noel has concentrated on building a talented team and growing the business organically, as well as through the acquisition of Virgin Games. Through cutting edge innovation Gamesys has continued to maintain its market leading position and has over 25 million players, 1,100 staff and operates in 6 countries. Noel stepped down as Gamesys CEO in 2015, and is now Executive Chairman. Outside of work Noel enjoys travelling, checking latest tech innovations making the headlines and keeping up with family.
