Mr. Ortiz is a Managing Partner at ProA and a member of the Founding Team. He is responsible for managing the Firm and the investment process. Mr. Ortiz currently represents ProA on the boards of Saba, Ibermática and Hospital de Llevant. He was also involved in the board of Eugin until it´s divestment. Prior to founding ProA, Mr. Ortiz was a Partner at Nmás1 and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Nmas1 Group Holding. Mr. Ortiz had extensive private equity and venture capital experience as a Director of Private Equity New Technologies at Banco Bilbao VizcayaArgentaria (BBVA). During his time at BBVA, Mr. Ortiz led five private equity investments, two of which are part of listed groups. Prior to BBVA, Mr. Ortiz was a Corporate Finance Director at ING Barings and participated in multiple M&A transactions. Mr. Ortiz started his professional career at Arthur Andersen Legal and Tax Advisors in 1992, today Garrigues, where he dedicated five years principally in tax and legal advisory work.
