Mr. Quai has fifteen years of real estate investment, management and advisory experience. Prior to co-founding CREP in 2013, he was a co-founder, partner and shareholder in Captiva Capital Management Limited that was the investment adviser for a family of closed-end funds called Captiva Real Estate Funds. Captiva was originally a joint venture between Grove International Partners (formerly Soros Real Estate Partners) and Natixis Bank with offices in London, Hamburg, Milan, Paris and Luxembourg. Captiva managed more than €1.0 billion of equity commitments across three funds where Mr. Quai oversaw the acquisition and management of more than 1,700 properties valued at more than €8.0 billion across the United Kingdom and Europe. Mr. Quai has strong experience across the risk-reward spectrum from providing strategic advice and investing in sale-leaseback transactions, establishing and then listing real estate investment platforms and overseeing real estate development-construction businesses. Prior to co-founding Captiva in 2001, he was a Manager of International Tax at Arthur Andersen in Australia and the United States, specializing in M&A and LBO transactions. Mr. Quai received a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University in 1999 and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia in 1994. Mr. Quai holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, granted in 1998.
