Aviv Hadar is the CEO and Founder of Think Brilliant Media Studios and the Original Founder of Oregrown Industries, a vertically integrated cannabis brand. A newly minted Venture Capitalist, he has been investing in some of the largest tech companies in the world since prior to the iPhone’s inaugural release in 2007 and comes from a background in digital communications and technology. He studied Computer Science at the University of Montana. Hadar was also a founding member of the world’s very first million-dollar Kickstarter campaign, which saw over 12,000 backers pledge nearly $1.5 million dollars to bring an innovative smartphone product to life. In 2007, Hadar founded Think Brilliant, an award-winning software and technology company, recently celebrating its fifteenth year in business—Think Brilliant creators devised the viral “I’m With Coco” campaign, one of the most successful internet memes in internet history. Hadar and Think Brilliant were also instrumental in the launch of the social media and content creation company SoulPancake, which has inked deals with several of the largest global brands while raising millions for charity—the company now has over three million subscribers on YouTube. Aviv and the Think Brilliant team also won Bend, Oregon’s first-ever Startup Weekend Challenge with a revolutionary software product for restaurants and cafes called Perfect Menu. That business turned from startup to profit in less than four weeks and was subsequently acquired by a large development firm in Nevada. Hadar’s cannabis company Oregrown was voted Best Dispensary in all of Central Oregon each of its first five years in business including Best Place to Work in 2017 and 2018 by The Source Weekly and was crowned Startup of the Year 2017 by the Bend Chamber of Commerce. Hadar is also a founding member of the Oregon Cannabis Association (OCA), a member of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) Rules Advisory Committee, a Leafly Technical Advisory Board Member, a member of the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA), and the first person in Oregon State history to testify to the OLCC on behalf of Oregon’s cannabis legalization measure in 2015—the same year Hadar was awarded the inaugural High Times Political Trailblazer Award. He is now primarily focused on helping other entrepreneurs succeed and follow his path towards successful exits while continuing to diversify his portfolio with global investments.
